Lefty’s presented Run What Ya’ Brung — the spectator drags — at R&R Speedway & Demolition Derby in Miramichi on Saturday, 20 September 2025.
The idea is simple enough that it explains itself: bring the car you drove there, and race it.
The purse
- 1st place — $2,000
- 2nd place — $1,000
- 3rd place — $500
$20 entry per vehicle. Gates opened at 1pm, first race at 2pm.
How it ran
Heads-up, single elimination, two laps of the track from a standing start. First car to finish two laps advanced.
Street-legal vehicles only — valid plate, proof of insurance, and a car the track official was happy to let out. No race cars, nothing trailered in, street tires. DOT-approved helmet, seatbelts on, no passengers.
A night at the track for people who had never entered anything, which is a good deal more interesting than another feature race.
