Where we are
Lefty’s opened in 2020, in a smaller shop next door to this one. We outgrew it, and in February 2022 we moved into 6 Micmac Road — five minutes out of Miramichi, and worth the drive for the hours alone: 8am – 12am, seven days a week, including holidays. There is a drive-thru window on the side of the building, which is how most people use us: pull up, tell us what you are after, and go. You do not have to order first.

What is on the shelves
A wall of vapes and the brands to go with it, nicotine pouches, tobacco, papers and glass — and BC craft cannabis, bought in small batches from craft growers in British Columbia. Somebody behind the counter has smoked most of it and will tell you which is which.

Why there is no tax — and why it matters
Lefty’s is Indigenous owned and it stands on Natoaganeg land, so there is no sales tax at the till, at the window, or on a local run — the price on the shelf is the price you pay. That is not a discount we run. It is what it means to buy from a shop that belongs to this community: every order here is spent with a business owned and run in Eel Ground, by people who live down the road from it.
